May 28 - Handbuilding Pottery Using Pinching Technique
Saturday, May 28th
1:00 - 3:00 PM PST
Learn how to use the fundamental handbuilding technique of pinching to create a few different pieces for everyday use. In this class taught by local artist Brooke Burns, you'll learn about the different stages of clay as it transforms to a functional piece, experience step-by-step demonstrations, and get hands-on practice. Once you're done sculpting, explore different ways to apply underglazes. You'll come back 2-3 weeks after the class to pick up your finished piece. Everyone is welcome to join--no clay experience necessary! Tools are provided but you are welcome to bring your own.
Adults and teens of all levels welcome! It held indoors masks are required to protect our immunocompromised community members. Let's look out for one another.
