6-week series, Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 PM PST starting August 10

The Bay Area is home to hundreds of beautiful bird species and many of them can be seen from your very own backyard. What better way to capture the their essence than to learn how to draw a few of them using colored pencil! Let’s draw a Scrub Jay, a Great Horned Owl, and an Anna’s Hummingbird. In this class, we'll go step-by-step through the process of drawing and capturing a bird in colored pencil. Learn to layer, blend, burnish, and add texture to your bird illustration. Jennifer will also teach you secret tricks and tips of the trade. New to colored pencils? You won't be after this fun and informative class! Seasoned artists and beginners are welcome! Ages 12+.

About the Teacher
Jennifer Linderman is a local artist, instructor, and nature enthusiast. Jennifer's work focuses on bringing together elements of botany and nature, namely animals and plants! She also loves using bright, bold, and saturated colors for her newest series of portraits. Check out her work on Instagram.
