Explore the world of calligraphy in this beginner friendly class! You’ll learn modern calligraphy techniques using a brush pen to create all letters of the alphabet. You’ll receive personalized feedback and guidance as you practice the basic strokes and learn how to connect letters seamlessly to create beautiful pieces of art. Join us ready to have fun, acquire a new skill, and embrace your unique style! Good handwriting is not a prerequisite ;)
This class is on a sliding-scale basis. We estimate the cost per person to be $65 so if you are able to pay that, that would be appreciated, but please don't let your lack of ability to pay keep you away! If you do contribute more, the extra funds will help others in the community participate. Our goal is to be inclusive of all folks regardless of their current financial situation.

About the Teacher:
Ngân (she/her) is a self-taught visual artist based in the Bay Area. As a proud immigrant and daughter of the Vietnamese diaspora, she draws inspiration from the zen calligraphy artwork of Thích Nhất Hạnh. She wishes to spread the joy of brush lettering as a creative outlet to her local community!
