February 25 - Natural Dye Textiles (Sliding Scale)
Natural Dye Textiles - Offered on Sliding Scale
Saturday, February 25 | 1:00- 3:00 PM PST
Explore the world of natural dyes in this beginning friendly workshop! Natural dyes are a sustainable and safe alternative to commercial dyes found in most factory produced garments. In this workshop, you will learn about South Asian textile traditions and the science of natural dye techniques. You will apply your new knowledge to dye your own silk scarf and pair of socks. All levels are welcome. Ages 18+
This class is on a sliding-scale basis. We estimate the cost per person to be $80 so if you are able to pay that, that would be appreciated, but please don't let your lack of ability to pay keep you away! If you do contribute more, the extra funds will help others in the community participate. Our goal is to be inclusive of all folks regardless of their current financial situation.
