Mosaic Vases Workshop - Offered on Sliding Scale

Saturday, March 4 |  10:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST

Create beautiful and functional art in our Mosaic Vases workshop. If you love mosaics, this class is for you! This project is one of several creative reuse projects developed by artist Judy Schonebaum as she became more mindful of consumption and sustainability. In this workshop, you'll create a lovely mosaic piece from a plain glass vase or jar, using broken dishes and decorative string. This is an introductory workshop, where you will learn to complete a mosaic vase from beginning to end. They should set for 48 hours before moving them so you'll come back to pick up your finished piece. We will store your vases for up to a week!

There will be ample materials for you to choose from and we encourage you to bring any dish(es) you’d like to incorporate into your vase--we will safely smash them. All levels are welcome. Ages 18+

This class is on a sliding-scale basis.  We estimate the cost per person to be $70 so if you are able to pay that, that would be appreciated, but please don't let your lack of ability to pay keep you away! If you do contribute more, the extra funds will help others in the community participate. Our goal is to be inclusive of all folks regardless of their current financial situation.
